Travel

There are a few different options for traveling to Cape Cod!

If flying, the closest airports are Hyannis Cape Cod Gateway Airport (HYA), which is about a 30–40 minute drive to the Harwich/Chatham area, and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), which is about a 1.5–2 hour drive. Providence Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport (PVD) is also about a 1.5–2 hour drive.

We recommend booking a rental car (available at all mentioned airports) to give you the most flexibility to explore the Cape during your stay! While there are Ubers and Lyfts in the area, they can sometimes be scarce. Alternatively, both the Boston and Providence airports have buses that travel to the Cape. We like Plymouth, Brockton, or Peter Pan bus lines.

** If you are planning to book accommodations, we highly recommend doing so well in advance, as most nearby lodging books out quickly in the summer months **
Please refer to our “Where to Stay” tab for our recommendations.

If flying out of Boston or Providence, please keep in mind as you’re planning your travel that traffic getting on and off the Cape can easily get backed up, especially on the weekends—so give yourself plenty of time!
